Can a society exist without laws?

* England lived under common law with inalienable ‘God-given’ rights for many centuries. No further laws required. Unfortunately early in the 20th century the primacy of parliamentary law was established and the steady erosion of our rights has followed ever since. Uncoincidentally the has been accompanied by a steady decline in educational standards and the gradual removal of common law from legal and judiciary training, so that while common law is technically still in effect it is extremely difficult to successfully challenge these phoney modern laws with it. Reasserting the primacy of common law would undo a lot of the evil which has dogged this country over the last century or more…

* Yes, if it’s moralistic enough, and everyone shares the same morals.

* No, we are so genetically different with individual minds and psyche, moreover, there will always someone out there who will be ready to harm someone else. We need laws.

* Yes it existed before laws and will keep right on going without them. Societies evolve into new societies over time as values change

* Not everyone as the same common interest good Bad of indifferent

* Society always finds its own norms and values to practice as laws.
