If every neuron in a human was accurately simulated in a computer, would it result in human consciousness?

You should read about the thought experiment ‘Mary’s Room”. It fascinated me… Basically, if an individual with complete and total knowledge of physiology were kept in a black and white room, with black and white monitors showing the outside world, and they understood exactly how light waves interact with our visual systems to perceive the world… When they go outside for the first time, and see a blue sky, do they ‘learn’ anything?!

The Stoics generally maintained a kind of mind-body monism, meaning they believed the mind and body were interconnected in a living human being, working cooperatively to produce perception, thought, and volition.
