  • Where do you think is the most worthwhile place to find meaning in life? Work, family, hobby, religion, philosophy, helping others, all the small miracles, or something else?

* Depends on where you find it, for me it was in sports, I could really get in ‘the flow’and almost zone out while playing squash, due to illness I can no longer play but I really miss it. Thinking about that feeling riding a motorcycle gives me the same feeling, fully concentrating on what you’re doing the rest just fades away and you can truely be in the moment.

* Someone once told me to kill myself, I vowed I’d live forever just so I could piss on his grave for the rest of eternity. Spite and occasional mischief is what I live for

* I think that is tautologous. //Where do you think is the most worthwhile place to find meaning in life?// The concept of “meaning” and “worth while” is predicated on the subjective experience of pleasure. I think with human language (or at least English) it is impossible to speak about pleasure without appealing to tautologous language. I think fundamentally any sentient organism can only derive a sense of value or meaning from the experience of pleasure and I think the complexity of pleasurable and painful experiences reflect the…
